Walgreens QuickPrints API-Powered Printicular App Passes Four Million Prints | ProgrammableWeb

MEA Mobile has just announced that over four million mobile phone photos have been printed using the company’s Printicular App which is powered by theWalgreens QuickPrints API. Printicular allows users to print photos from their smartphone camera roll as well as pictures from social media accounts such as Instagram, Facebook, Google+, Dropbox, and more. The photos can then be picked up same day at the local Walgreens or delivered to locations worldwide.

New PhotoCard App lets users create greeting cards using their own photos and can be picked up at their local Walgreens and Duane Reade.

The company has also launched two new mobile phone apps that also utilize the Walgreens QuickPrints API; PhotoCard by Printicular (iPhone and iPad) and Poster Print by Printicular (iPhone, iPad, and Android). PhotoCard by Printicular lets users create greeting cards with their own photos. Poster Print by Printicular lets users create custom flyers and banners from their photos. Both apps allow users to pick up their finished products at the local Walgreens.

Rod Macfarlane, Co-founder and CEO MEA Mobile, comments on the success of Printicular in the press release. “Printicular is just one of our more successful apps,” says Macfarlane. “It shows that physical prints are still the best way to turn digital images into the memories people want to cherish. Printicular now generates over a quarter of a million prints a month and growing.”
